Removing And Installing Pressure Pipe

Preliminary work

1. Remove cover for lock carrier.
2. Remove front part of front wheel housing liner.
3. Remove underbody cover.

Removing pressure pipes

INFORMATION: When removing and installing the pressure pipes, it is advisable to turn the wheels in so that you have easier access to the pipe connections.







1. Disconnect the tension locks -A and B- on the pressure pipes on the turbocharger and charge air cooler at both sides and remove the pressure pipes.
2. Lower the vehicle.







3. Remove air boxes on both sides.
3.1. Remove screws on the hose clamps at the air-cleaner box -A- and intake manifold -B-.
3.2. Pull off and remove air boxes on the air-cleaner box and intake manifold.







4. Removing upper pressure pipes
4.1. Remove screws on the hose clamps at the throttle valve air box -A- at both sides.
4.2. Remove tension locks on the charge air cooler -B- on both sides.
4.3. Remove pressure pipes.

Installing pressure pipes







1. Fit upper pressure pipes
1.1. Insert pressure pipes and make sure that the tension locks -B- engage securely on the charge air cooler.
1.2. Fit screws on hose clamps -A- at the throttle valve air box at both sides.







2. Fit air boxes on both sides.
2.1. Fit air boxes on the air-cleaner box and intake manifold.
2.2. Screw in screws on the hose clamps at the air-cleaner box -A- and intake manifold -B-.

3. Raise the vehicle.







4. Fit pressure pipes on the turbocharger and charge air cooler -A and B- and make sure that the tension locks engage securely.

Subsequent work

1. Install underbody cover.
2. Install front part of front wheel housing liner.
3. Install cover for lock carrier.
