WM 681949 Eliminating noise symptoms - Reworking centre console cover
General information
Symptoms
Rattling noises from around the centre console cover.
Causes and remedial action
Rattling noises can be heard while driving due to a loose plug connection that is not acoustically decoupled (gear selecting system).
In the event of a complaint, a plastic foam strip must be wrapped around the plug connection (gear selecting system) to remedy the situation on vehicles manufactured before the date of introduction July 2005.
