WM 700455 Replacing sound absorber (insulation) for engine compartment lid

Preliminary work

1. Remove accessories close to the sound absorber (insulation).

Information

- The sound absorbers (insulation) must always be replaced if they are damaged or cracked.

2. Remove sound absorber (insulation).
3. Remove all adhesive residue on the body/accessories and clean with cleaning solution.

Information

The fastening points must remain accessible when positioning the sound absorbers (insulation).

1. Pull off protective film and stick insulation for engine compartment lid -1- on the inside in the marked area of the engine compartment lid -2-.

2. Press insulation for engine compartment lid -1- on securely using a rubber roller.

Information

The fastening points must remain accessible when positioning the sound absorbers (insulation).

1. Pull off protective film and stick bulkhead insulation -1- on the inside in the rear wall lid -2-.

2. Press bulkhead insulation -1- on securely using a rubber roller.
