Disassembling And Assembling Front Apron

Preliminary work
1. Remove front apron. Removing and installing front apron on "Removing"
2. Remove auxiliary headlight. Refer to Removing and installing auxiliary headlight on "Removing"
3. Remove right and left flasher repeater. Refer to Removing and installing side direction indicator on "Removing"

NOTE: Only for vehicles with headlight cleaning system.

4. Remove spray nozzle for headlight washer system. Refer to Removing and installing spray nozzle for headlight washer system on "Removing"
5. Remove front ventilation grille. Refer to Removing and installing front ventilation grille on "Removing"
6. Remove front wiring harness. Refer to Removing and installing front wiring harness on "Removing"

NOTE: Only for vehicles with headlight cleaning system.

7. Remove hose for headlight washer system. Refer to Removing and installing hose for headlight washer system on "Removing"
8. Remove number plate cover. Refer to Removing and installing number plate cover on "Removing"

Disassembling front apron

Removing cover cap






1. Carefully press out the cover cap -2- with a screwdriver. The securing cord -3- the cover cap -2- and the front end -1- are joined as they pull out.






Removing spoiler trim
1. Press out retaining pins and remove expanding clip -1-.






2. Unclip spoiler trim -2- from front apron -3-.

Removing support for wire harness






1. Insert a screw driver between front apron -1- and the support -2, 3- and carefully remove. Check support -2, 3-, and replace if necessary.






2. Remove fastening nut -4-, inspect and replace if necessary.
3. Turn fastening clip -5- through 90° and remove.

Pulling off joining latch






1. Pull joining latch -2- from the front spoiler -1-.






Disassembling cover for auxiliary headlight






1. Separate cover upper part -1- from cover lower part -2- at the locking tabs.






Assembling front apron

1. Position cover upper part -1- on cover lower part -2- and press together until the locking tabs engage.






Affixing joining latch






1. Position joining latch -2- on the front spoiler -1- and affix in place.






Installing support for wire harness
1. Position fastening clip -5- on the front apron -1- and turn through 90°.






2. Press in fastening nut -4-.
3. Position support -2, 3- on the front apron -1- and press in.

Installing spoiler trim






1. Insert spoiler trim -2- into the front spoiler -3- and lock it in place.






2. Fasten spoiler trim -2- with the expanding clips -1- by pressing in the retaining pins.

Installing cover cap






1. Pull the securing cord -3- into the eyelet of the front apron. Insert cap -2- into the front apron -1-.






Subsequent work
1. Install number plate cover. Refer to Removing and installing number plate cover on "Installing"
2. Install front wire harness. Refer to Removing and installing front wire harness on "Installing"
3. Install front air grille. Refer to Removing and installing front air grille on "Installing"

NOTE: Only for vehicles with headlight cleaning system.

4. Install hose for headlight cleaning system. Refer to Removing and installing hose for headlight cleaning system on "Installing"

NOTE: Only for vehicles with headlight cleaning system.

5. Install spray nozzle for headlight cleaning system. Refer to Removing and installing spray nozzle for headlight washer system on "Installing"
6. Install right and left flasher repeater. Refer to Removing and installing side direction indicator light on "Installing"
7. Install auxiliary headlight. Refer to Removing and installing auxiliary headlight on "Installing"
8. Install front apron. Refer to Removing and installing front apron on "Installing"

NOTE: Only for vehicles with I-no. XAL.

9. Install front spoiler. Refer to Replacing front spoiler on "Installing"
