Replacing Bulb For Reading Light

Removing bulb for reading light

CAUTION:
Danger of damage to property if bulbs are used or handled incorrectly.
- Risk of damage to bulbs and bulb housing.
- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.
- To prevent short circuits, the load in question must be switched off while changing bulbs.
- Only bulbs specified in the bulb table may be used.
- Bulbs with a higher wattage may damage the bulb housing.
- New bulbs must be clean and free of grease. Therefore, never touch the bulbs with your bare hands. Use a cloth or soft paper when changing bulbs.
- In certain states, it is compulsory to carry spare light bulbs.












1. Carefully unclip cover for the interior light at top and bottom using a small screwdriver.







2. Remove defective bulb from the mounting.

1. Insert new bulb into the bulb holder.
2. Position the cover and clip into place.

1. Pull the interior light out of the trim panel carefully from the front.
2. Release plug on interior light -arrow a- and pull it off.







3. Loosen bulb holder with bayonet lock -direction of arrow- and remove it.
4. Take defective bulb out of the bulb holder.







5. Insert new bulb into the bulb holder.
6. Insert bulb holder with bayonet lock into the interior light and lock it -direction of arrow-.







7. Connect plug for interior light until the plug engages securely.
8. Insert interior light into the trim panel at the rear, then press it into the trim panel at the front.
