Spare Parts Requirements For Camber Eccentric Bolt On Rear Carrier Side Section

Rear axle: wishbone threaded connection on carrier side section.

Situation:
Carrier side sections that were manufactured using different casting procedures were installed.

In the time period specified below, carrier side sections that were manufactured either using the die casting method or the chilled casting method were installed on the rear axle of vehicles.

The different casting methods have resulted in different wall thickness on the carrier side sections.

As a result, camber eccentric bolts of different lengths are required for the wishbone threaded connection, depending on the casting method.

Please observe the following for spare parts requirements for the camber eccentric bolt on the wishbone threaded connection (=> Figure 1 -arrow A-) on vehicles manufactured during the specified time period:

Due to the different wall thicknesses of the carrier side sections, it is important to verify the part number on the installed carrier side section (=> Figure 1 -arrow B-) on the rear axle.





Based on this part number, the required camber eccentric bolt can be determined and used in accordance with the table shown.
