Removing and Installing Rear Three-Point Belt



Removing And Installing Rear Three-Point Belt

Technical values







Preliminary work

1. Remove back seat cushion. Refer to Removing and installing back seat cushion.
2. Remove rear roof trim panel. Refer to Removing and installing rear roof trim panel.

Removing rear three-point belt

Loosening seat belt and fitting

1. Lever off cap -1- with a screwdriver -arrow-.







2. Unscrew fastening screw -2-. Remove washer -3-, seat belt mount -4- and spacer sleeve -5-.

Removing rear belt cover

1. Insert a small screwdriver sideways into the cover -1- and remove the cover -1-.







2. Unscrew fastening screws -2 and 3-.
3. Pull rear belt cover -4- forward in direction of travel and pull connector off the interior light -5-.
4. Pull belt strap out of the rear belt cover -4- and take off rear belt cover -4-.

Removing rear three-point belt







1. Unscrew fastening screw -1- from the automatic belt device -2- and remove automatic belt device -2-.







Installing rear three-point belt

INFORMATION: Ensure that belt strap can run properly.

1. Insert automatic belt device -2- with the locking lug on the sheetmetal bracket on the roof frame and secure with the fastening screw -1-. Tightening torque: 50 Nm (37 ftlb.)







Installing rear belt cover

INFORMATION: Ensure that belt strap can run properly.

1. Slide belt strap through the rear belt cover -4- from behind.







2. Position rear belt cover -4-, connect connector to the interior light -5- and slide rear belt cover -4- backwards in direction of travel into the metal clips -6-.
3. Tighten fastening screws -2 and 3-. Tightening torque: 3 Nm (2.0 ftlb.), Tightening torque: 2 Nm (1.5 ftlb.)
4. Insert cover -1- into the belt cover -4- and press it in.

Securing seat belt and fitting

INFORMATION: Ensure that belt strap can run properly.

1. Secure fastening screw -2-, washer -3-, seat belt with fitting -4- and spacer sleeve -5- on the body. Tightening torque: 50 Nm (37 ftlb.)±10 %.







2. Press cap -1- onto the fastening screw -2- (-arrow-).

Subsequent work

1. Install rear roof trim panel. Refer to Removing and installing rear roof trim panel.
2. Install back seat cushion. Refer to Removing and installing back seat cushion.
