Removing And Installing Guide For Fabric Lining

Technical values







Preliminary work

1. Preliminary work for guide for fabric lining.
1.1. Remove wire harness for sun blind. Refer to Removing and installing wire harness for roof assembly

2. Preliminary work for guide for right fabric lining.
2.1. Remove right fabric lining. Refer to Removing and installing fabric lining.

Tools and materials

Making a distance gauge

1. Make a distance gauge out of wood or plastic according to the specified dimensions -A, B, C, D-.







Removing guide for fabric lining







1. Unscrew fastening nuts -1- and remove guide for fabric lining -2- in -direction of arrow-.







2. Pull rear window heating wire -1- out of the guide for fabric lining -2- in -direction of arrow-.







Installing guide for fabric lining

1. Press rear window heating wire -1- into the guide for fabric lining -2- in -direction of arrow-. Start at the white marking -arrow- on the wire when pressing in the rear window heating wire -1-.







2. Position guide for fabric lining -2- on the roof assembly and fit fastening nuts -1-.







3. Set the relative position of the guide for fabric lining and the roof assembly guide using the distance gauge -3-. Gap dimension: 60 mm
4. Tighten fastening nuts -1-. Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)

Subsequent work

1. Subsequent work for guide for left fabric lining.
1.1. Install wire harness for sun blind. Refer to Removing and installing wire harness for roof assembly.

2. Subsequent work for guide for right fabric lining.
2.1. Install right fabric lining. Refer to Removing and installing fabric lining.
