Intake Manifold: Description and Operation

2446 911 Carrera (997) Intake System

The plastic intake system of the 3.6-liter engine with the approx. 60-mm long aluminium intake manifold runners was adopted from the 911 Carrera (996) model year 2004 3.6-liter engine. The basic construction principle of the intake system with the elements distribution pipe, switchable resonance pipe, lateral containers and intake runners was retained.
