Brake ventilation on the 911 Carrera and 911 Carrera S has been improved in comparison with the previous 911 Carrera (996) model through a new front-axle wheel carrier design, a 30% larger brake air deflector and an optimized underbody lining. With these measures, more air reaches the brake disc and the brake are cooled more effectively. A wheel design with large openings has an additional positive influence on the cooling. The end result is a very stable brake system with a spontaneous response and low operating forces.
