Preliminary work for wiper arm setting angle

INFORMATION:
- Checking and adjusting the setting angle for the wiper arm is required when there are customer claims raised such as: wiper rubbing, stammering, noises produced during windscreen wiping, or uneven wiping area.
- It is important that wiper blades are checked for wear and the windscreen does not have dirt on it.

1. Check the condition of the windscreen. Clean the windscreen if it is dirty.
2. Remove wiper blade.
3. Check the condition of the wiper blade and replace it if necessary.

INFORMATION: The wiper system must be in the parking position. Before beginning work, let the wiper system run 2-3 times with spray water.

CAUTION:
Unexpected switching on of the wiper system while the wiper arm is being worked on. Danger of being pinched in by the wiper arms.
- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.







1. Place the adapter -B- for the sports car flush on the wiper arm and screw down the knurled screw.







2. Position the angle measuring unit -A- on the adapter and screw down the knurled screw.
3. Read the wiper arm setting angle with the angle measuring unit and compare to the specified values.







4. If the angle specifications are not reached, the wiper arm must be adjusted using both angle adjustment tools.







5. Position both angle adjustment tools on the wiper arm and adjust the angle to the specification by turning the front adjustment tool.

Reworking the wiper arm setting angle
1. Install wiper blade.
2. Check wiper function of wiper system.
