Removing And Installing Rear Spoiler
Removing and installing rear spoiler - up to model year 2002
WARNING: Danger of accident.
- If the rear spoiler cannot be extended, the driving stability will be impaired due to the increased rear axle lift.
To remove the rear spoiler drive, the rear spoiler must be extended manually by means of the rocker switch in the passenger compartment and with the ignition switched on.
Removing and installing rear spoiler as of model year 2003

Replacing elevating element
1. Replacing elevating element
1.1. Removing elevating element
1.2. Refer to Removing and installing motor for rear spoiler
1.3. Unscrew fastening screws -4- from the elevating element -3-.
1.4. Remove cover -1-, sealing ring -2- and water drain hose -4-.
1.5. Installing elevating element
1.6. Push on cover -1-, sealing ring -2- and water drain hose -4-.
1.7. Position elevating element -3- on the carrier and tighten fastening screws -4-.
