Information:
As of October 12, 1998 production and the following VINs, the boost spring and clutch pedal have been optimized for minimal noise.

Whenever addressing clutch pedal noises on a Boxster prior to the above listed VINs, refer to the Boxster Technical Manual, Group 3 - Manual Transmission, Section:
30 05 19 - Removing and Installing the clutch pedal, pages 30-7 to 30-19.
For correct parts installation, the optimized pedal, boost spring, and bracket should be installed according to the model year.
