Concern:
Service installation of the automatic dimming (anti-dazzle) driver's door mirror. (Exclusive option "XEH") This option must be installed with the anti-dazzle interior mirror option "XE3".
Information:
When the ignition is switched on, the automatic dimming (anti-dazzle) interior rearview mirror detects the incoming light on the mirror glass via photocells. If the brightness on the interior mirror glass (light from the rear) is greater than the brightness on the mirror housing (light from the front), a control process is initiated. The control process dims both the interior rearview mirror, and the driver's door mirror.
Note:
The automatic dimming (anti-dazzle) function is disabled whenever the vehicle is in reverse gear (ignition on). When in reverse gear, the mirror will only operate in a normal (undimmed) state.
