The tensioner spring retainers are marked "oben" (top) for the tensioner that is inserted from the top (cylinders 1 through 3 side) and "unten rechts" (bottom right) for the tensioner inserted from the bottom (cylinders 4 through 6 side)

The oil supply bore of the tensioner points down.
