Engine/Transmission Attachment

NOTE:
- Grease all sliding surfaces of the clutch release system and the input shaft splines with Olista, Longtime 3 EP.
- Do not apply grease to the sliding surfaces of release bearing and guide tube.





1. Engage release fork in release bearing and use a suitable length of adhesive tape to locate it provisionally in the installation position.
2. Refit transmission to engine.

3. Engage release lever shaft complete with seals to release fork.
4. Working through assembly hole, remove locating tape from release fork.
5. Fit needle roller bearings, bearing cover and bracket and assemble with M 6 x 16 hexagon head bolt.





NOTE: Fitting the bearing cover
- Locate bearing cover with assembly drift, e.g. Special Tool 9287 (drift for removing actuators of headlight beam adjusters), and press in carefully to stop.

6. Tighten wiring harness to starter, using two tie-wraps.
