Idle Speed: Adjustments

The idle RPM is controlled by the digital motor electronics (DME). The idle speed can only be checked, there are no provisions for adjustment.

1. Run engine to operating temperature
2. Connect tachometer.
3. Check idle RPM with all accessories off.
4. RPM range is 900 ±50.
5. If RPM is not correct, check engine for possible mechanical or digital motor electronics (DME) failure (see COMPUTERIZED ENGINE CONTROLS).
6. Disconnect tachometer.
