Windshields with pre-applied cement profiles (Fig. 1), previously installed only in cars with airbags and/or Sekuriflex windshields are now installed in non-airbag 944 models as well. (Refer to Technical Bulletin, Group 6, Number 8702, Book D, Page 201.) Also, the distance edge of the spacer (Fig. 2) at the base of the windshield has been omitted.

New Type Spacer PN 944 559 031 02
The new spacer block can only be installed in earlier cars which were produced with windshields with pre-applied cement profiles.
Old version spacers PN 944 559 031 01 are still available for repairs to earlier vehicles.

IMPORTANT
When removing windshields which have preapplied cement profiles, (Fig. 1), the profile which determines the distance and location of the windshield will be destroyed. For this reason the windshield cannot be reused and must be replaced.
