CHECKING PISTON COOLING SPRAY VALVE

Right crankcase section looking forward in car.

Insert suitable plug (12 mm dia.) in bore for anchorage bolt.

Inject methylated spirits into oil feed bore for main bearing seat.




Apply air pressure in oil feed bore for main bearings and observe ejection pattern of spray valve.

Apply air pressure in bores (arrows) on bearing seat and observe ejection pattern.
