Hex Code 01-02-03-04-05 or 06Replace left or right front sensor.
Hex Code 07-08-09-0A-0B-0C-0D or 0E
Check wiring. Check front sensor plug connection for correct tightness of plug contacts and correct tightness of plug connection.
Check front sensor with ohmmeter
1) Connect ohmmeter to terminal 1 and 2
Display: approx. 10 k Ohm
2) Connect ohmmeter to terminal 2 and 3
Display: approx. 0 Ohm
Display O.K.: Erase fault memory. If fault still present, replace control unit.
Display or sensor wiring not O.K.: Replace front sensor
Hex Code 11 or 12
Check front sensor plug connection for correct tightness of plug contacts and correct tightness of plug connection.
Check front sensor with ohmmeter
1) Connect ohmmeter to terminal 1 and 2
Display: approx. 10 k Ohm
2) Connect ohmmeter to terminal 2 and 3
Display: approx. 0 Ohm
Display O.K.: Erase fault memory. If fault still present, replace control unit
Display or sensor wiring not O.K.: Replace front sensor
Note: Erase fault memory after each repair
Hex Code 13 or 14
Check wiring Check front sensor plug connection for correct tightness of plug contacts and correct tightness of plug connection.
Check front sensor with ohmmeter
1) connect ohmmeter to terminal 1 and 2
Display: approx. 10 k Ohm
2) Connect ohmmeter to terminal 2 and 3
Display: approx. 0 Ohm
Display O.K.: Erase fault memory. If fault still present, replace control unit
Display or sensor wiring not O.K.: Replace front sensor
Hex Code 17-18-19 or 1A
Replace control unit
Hex Code 1 B-1 E-21 or 24
Check wiring harness and connections
Try a new contact unit. Erase fault memory.
If fault is still present, remove contact unit, reinstall original contact unit and try new airbag unit. Erase fault memory.
If fault is still present, replace control unit.
Hex Code 1C-1D-1 F-20-22-23-25 or 26
Try new airbag unit. Erase fault memory.
If fault is still present, replace control unit.
Hex Code 27
Check wiring harness and connections.
Check tightness of plug connection to airbag unit. Check tightness of plug connection to contact unit.
If plug connections are tight, try new contact unit. Erase fault memory.
If fault is still present, remove new contact unit, reinstall original contact unit and try a new airbag unit. Erase fault memory.
If fault is still present, remove new airbag unit, reinstall original airbag unit and replace control unit.
Hex Code 28 or 29
Check wiring harness and connections, Check tightness of plug connection to airbag unit.
If plug connections are tight, try a new airbag unit. Erase fault memory.
If fault is still present, replace control unit.
Hex Code 2A
Try a new airbag unit. Erase fault memory.
If fault is still present, try a new contact unit. Erase fault memory.
If fault is still present, remove new contact unit, reinstall original contact unit and replace control unit.
Note: Erase fault memory after each repair.
Hex Code 2B or 2C
Try a new airbag unit. Erase fault memory.
If fault is still present, replace control unit.
Hex Code 2D
Replace contact unit. Check plug contacts of plug connections to airbag unit and contact unit for corrosion. If contacts are in good condition, try a new airbag unit. Erase fault memory.
If fault is still present, replace control unit.
Hex Code 2E or 2F
Check plug contacts at plug connections to airbag unit for corrosion.
If contacts are in good condition try a new airbag unit. Erase fault memory.
If fault is still present, remove new airbag unit, reinstall original airbag unit and replace control unit.
Hex Code 30 or 31
After failure of the airbag sign, the central warning light and seat belt symbol still light up.
Remove and check control lamp, replace if necessary.
Check wiring harness for damage.
Erase fault memory.
If fault is still present, replace control unit.
Hex Code 32
Replace control unit.
Hex Code 33 or 34
Hex code 33 or 34 are displayed only after airbag activation. In this case, all components must be replaced.
