The tightening torque of the coolant thermoswitch was reduced as of December, 1983; VIN 94 EN 454378
The tightening torque was 50 N-m (36 ft lb) and is now 30 Nm (22 ft lb).
When installing the thermoswitch, use only the aluminum sealing ring, Part No. N 13.827.2, and torque to 30 N-m (22 ft lb).
