Clutch Linkage: Service and Repair






- Disconnect clutch cable on release lever after loosening cable on holder.





- Disconnect positioning lever spring on transmission. Remove circlip and positioning lever.
- Press release lever forward with a suitable tool.

NOTE: The auxiliary spring stretches and the release lever snaps forward after passing a certain point.





- Take release lever off of lever shaft (release shaft).
- Check whether following parts move easily, correcting if necessary.
^ Release lever on lever shaft (release shaft).
^ Auxiliary spring shaft in release lever (if necessary, replace needle sleeves in release lever.
- Lubricate following sliding and bearing surfaces with a water-proof lubricant, such as for example Staburags NBU 12/300 KB from Kluber, or a multipurpose grease.
- Release lever bore.
- Lever shaft (including splines for positioning lever).
- Auxiliary spring bearing surface on console shaft.
- Clutch cable mount on release lever.





- Install seal and release lever on lever shaft. Place auxiliary spring on console shaft. Push back release lever until auxiliary spring exceeds the dead point (lever snaps in on console stop).
- Mount positioning lever (with seal) in correct position. Keep distance between adjusting screw and positioning lever with spring attached as small as possible.
- Make basic clutch adjustment.
