Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Inlet Hose Replacement




Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Inlet Hose Replacement (LZ4, LZ9) (3.5L, 3.9L)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement (Service and Repair) for the 3.5L engine or Intake Manifold Cover Replacement (Service and Repair) for the 3.9L engine.




2. Compress the clamp (1) and disconnect the power steering reservoir inlet pipe from the power steering reservoir.




3. Remove the nut (2) and the power steering hose routing clip (1) from the generator bracket stud.




4. Compress the clamp (1) and disconnect the power steering reservoir inlet pipe (2) from the power steering gear outlet pipe (3).

Installation Procedure




1. Place the clamp (1) on the power steering gear outlet pipe (3) and install the power steering reservoir inlet pipe (2) to the gear outlet pipe (3).




2. Install the power steering hose routing clip (1) and the nut (2) to the generator bracket stud.

Tighten the nut to 5 Nm (45 lb in).




3. Position the clamp (1) onto the power steering reservoir inlet pipe and install it to the power steering reservoir.
4. Install the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement (Service and Repair) for the 3.5L engine or Intake Manifold Cover Replacement (Service and Repair) for the 3.9L engine.
5. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding (Service and Repair).
