Rear Seat Belt Retractor Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the rear seat cushion.
2. Remove the seat back.
3. Remove the rear window trim panel.
4. If you are removing a side retractor, remove the retractor anchor bolt from the floor pan.




5. Remove the retractor bolt.
6. Remove the rear seat retractor from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the rear seat retractor in the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

Important: Position the retractor alignment tabs.

2. Install the rear seat retractor bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).




3. If you are installing a side retractor, install the retractor side belt anchor bolt to the floor pan.

Tighten the bolt to 42 N.m (31 lb ft).

4. Install the rear window trim panel.
5. Install the rear seat back.
6. Install the seat cushion.
