Power Steering Cooler Pipe/Hose Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the right fender liner.
2. Remove the accessory drive belt.
3. Remove the power steering cooler hose/pipe (1) from the power steering rack.
4. Remove the cooler hose/pipe (2) from the remote reservoir.
5. Remove the cooler hose/pipe retainers (3) from the frame.
6. Remove the power steering lines for the retainer (4).
7. Remove the power steering cooler (5) from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure.
1. Position the power steering cooler pipes/hoses (5) on the frame.
2. Insert the retainers (3) and (4) in the frame.
Notice: Install the cooler pipes/hose (1) in the power steering rack.
3. Tighten the power steering pipe/hose fitting to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
4. Reconnect the cooler pipes/hose (2) to the remote reservoir.
5. Install the accessory drive belt.
6. Install the right fender liner.
7. Fill the power steering reservoir with fluid.
8. Bleed the power steering system.
