Fuel Tank Vent: Service and Repair

FILL LIMITER VENT VALVE REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the fuel tank.
2. Use a screwdriver in order to release the lock tab of the FLVV cover (1).
3. Remove the FLVV cover (1) by rotating the cover counter clockwise while lifting up.




4. Insert a pry tool (2) between the FLVV (1) and the FLVV gasket.
5. Lift all around the outer edge of the FLVV and remove the FLVV (1) from the fuel tank.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the FLVV gasket (1) into the fuel tank.




2. Apply a light coat of motor oil to the sealing edge of the FLVV.
3. Install the FLVV into the fuel tank while keeping the correct alignment for the hose connections.
4. Place the FLVV cover onto the FLVV and rotate the cover clockwise until the lock tab is in position and engaged.
5. Install the fuel tank.
