Clutch Pedal ReplacementRemoval Procedure
1. Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the Lower Instrument Panel. Refer to Instrument Panel (I/P) Trim Panel Replacement - Lower.
3. Remove the clevis clip and the pin.
4. Disconnect the Clutch Pedal Position (CPP) switch electrical connector.
5. Disconnect the Cruise Control Release (CCR) switch electrical connector.
6. Remove the 2 pedal assembly bracket retaining nuts and the 1 retaining bolt.
7. Remove the clutch pedal assembly from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Position the clutch pedal assembly in the vehicle.
2. Connect the CPP switch electrical connector.
3. Connect the CCR switch electrical connector.
4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
Install the 2 clutch pedal retaining nuts and 1 bolt.
^ Tighten the retaining nuts to 12 Nm (106 inch lbs.).
^ Tighten the retaining bolt to 19 Nm (14 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the clevis clip and the pin.
6. Install the Lower Instrument Panel. Refer to Instrument Panel (I/P) Trim Panel Replacement - Lower.
7. Connect the negative battery cable.
