Power Steering Gear - Outlet Hose
Power Steering Gear Outlet Hose Replacement (AWD)Removal Procedure
1. Place a drain pan under the vehicle in order to catch any power steering fluid.
2. Remove the bolt (2) from the power steering gear outlet hose (3).
3. Loosen the clamp that retains the power steering cooling pipe to the gear outlet hose.

4. Remove the gear outlet hose from the cooling pipe.
5. Remove the pipe fitting (4) and the gear outlet hose from the steering gear (5).

Installing Hoses Without Twists or Bends Notice
1. Install the pipe fitting (4) and the gear outlet hose (3) to the steering gear (5).
Tighten the pipe fitting to 25 Nm (18.4 ft. lbs.).
2. Install the end of the gear outlet hose (1) to the cooling pipe.
3. Install the hose clamp in order to retain the hose to the pipe.
4. Install the bolt (2) in order to retain the hose to the steering gear.
Tighten the bolt to 7.8 Nm (69.04 inch lbs.).

5. Fill the power steering fluid reservoir.

6. Bleed the power steering system.
