Power Steering Cooler Pipe/Hose
Power Steering Cooler Pipe/Hose Replacement (AWD)Removal Procedure
1. Place a drain pan under the vehicle in order to catch any power steering fluid.
2. Remove the bolt (7) from the power steering fluid cooler pipe (6).
3. Remove the bolt (3) from the cooler pipe.
4. Remove the bolt (5) from the cooler pipe.
5. Loosen the clamp (4) that retains the power steering cooler pipe to the end of the power steering gear outlet hose.

6. Remove the gear outlet hose from the cooler pipe.
7. Loosen the clamp (1) that retains the cooler pipe to the power steering fluid reservoir.
8. Remove the cooler pipe from the reservoir.
Installation Procedure

1. Install the power steering fluid cooler pipe (6) to the power steering fluid reservoir.
2. Install the cooler pipe to the end of the steering gear outlet hose.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the 3 bolts (3, 5, 7).
Tighten the bolts to 7.8 Nm (69.04 inch lbs.).
4. Install the 2 hose clamps (1, 4).

5. Fill the power steering fluid reservoir.

6. Bleed the power steering system.
