61. Camshaft Cover Installation

Camshaft Cover Installation





1. Assemble the camshaft cover and gasket, use care to make sure that the gasket is located in the retaining groove in the camshaft cover.
2. Install the cover on the cylinder head and hand start the bolts.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the ground strap.
^ Tighten the camshaft cover bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
^ Tighten the camshaft cover ground strap bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).





4. Install spark plugs.
^ Tighten spark plugs to 20 Nm (15 lb ft).





5. Install the ignition coil and module assembly to the cam cover.
^ Tighten the ignition coil and module assembly bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).





6. Install the power steering pump.
^ Tighten the power steering pump to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).
