Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Pontiac)

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the front fender liner from the fascia.
2. Remove the hood latch close out panel.




3. Remove the grille and the park/turn signal turn lamp assembly.
4. Remove the headlamp assemblies.




5. Remove the fasteners that attach the front fascia bracket to the front impact beam.




6. Disconnect the fog lamp electrical connectors, if equipped.




7. Disconnect the front side marker lamp sockets.
8. Remove the fasteners that attach the fascia to the fender. Access the fasteners from the top, through the headlamp openings.




9. Remove the front bumper fascia from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the front bumper fascia on the vehicle.






Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Accessing through the headlamp opening, install the bolts that attach the fascia to the fender.

Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).




3. Connect the fog lamp electrical connectors, if equipped.




4. Install the fasteners that attach the fascia brackets to the bumper beam.




5. Install the headlamps.
6. Install the grille and the park/turn signal turn lamp assembly.




7. Install the hood latch close out panel.
8. Install the front fender liner to the front fascia.
