Zone 1

1. Turn the steering wheel so that the vehicle's wheels are pointing straight ahead.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
3. Remove the key from the ignition switch.
4. Remove the LH IP outer trim cover.
5. Remove the AIR BAG Fuse from the LH IP wiring harness junction block.

IMPORTANT: With the AIR BAG Fuse removed and the ignition switch in the RUN position, the AIR BAG warning lamp illuminates. This is a normal operation and does not indicate an SIR system malfunction.




6. Remove the hood closeout filler panel. Refer to Hood Close Out Filler Replacement in Body Front End.
7. Remove the connector position assurance (CPA) from the inflatable restraint electronic front end sensor (EFS) connector.




8. Disconnect the EFS connector from the EFS.
