Park Brake Cable Replacement Right Rear

- Tools Required
- J 37043 Parking Brake Cable Release Tool

Removal Procedure





1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the rear tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
3. Relieve the park brake cable tension at the equalizer.





4. Disconnect the right rear park brake cable (3) from the clip (2).
5. Disconnect the right park brake cable from the park brake lever.





6. Use the J 37043 to depress the retaining tabs (1) on the right park brake cable.
7. Remove the right park brake cable from the bracket.

Installation Procedure





1. Press the right park brake cable into the bracket. Ensure that the locking tabs (1) are properly seated.
2. Connect the right park brake cable to the park brake lever.





3. Connect the right rear park brake cable (3) to the clip (2)





4. Adjust the park brake system. Refer to Park Brake Adjustment.
5. Install the rear tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
6. Lower the vehicle.
