Trailing Arm ReplacementRemoval Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the trailing arm-to-knuckle bolt (2), the washer (3) and the bushing (4).
3. Remove the trailing arm to body bolt (2).
4. Remove the trailing arm (3) from the body (1).
Installation Procedure
1. Install the trailing arm-to-knuckle bolt (2), the washer (3), and the bushing (4). Hand tighten the nut.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Connect the trailing arm (3) to the body (1) and install the bolt (2).
^ Tighten the trailing arm to body bolt to 65 Nm (48 ft. lbs.) plus a 120° rotation.
^ Tighten the knuckle bolt to 69 Nm (51 ft. lbs.).
3. Lower the vehicle.
