Steering Knuckle Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Raise the vehicle on a hoist. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the brake caliper.
3. Remove the wheel drive shaft.
4. Remove the bolts (6) and nuts (2) attaching the steering knuckle (3) to the strut (1).
5. Remove the steering knuckle from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





1. Install the steering knuckle (3) into the strut flange and install the steering knuckle bolts (6) and nuts (2).
^ Tighten the nuts (2) to 180 Nm (133 ft. lbs.).
2. Install the wheel drive shaft.
3. Install the brake caliper.
4. Check the front wheel alignment.
