Bracket Replacement - Console Floor

BRACKET REPLACEMENT - CONSOLE FLOOR

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the front floor console.




2. Remove the bracket screws from the instrument panel (IP) center support bracket. Oldsmobile shown.




3. Remove the IP center support bracket. Pontiac shown.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Position the IP center support bracket. Pontiac shown.




2. Install the screws to the IP center support bracket. Oldsmobile shown.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 3 N.m (27 lb in).




3. Install the front floor console.
