Remote Power Steering Fluid Reservoir ReplacementRemoval Procedure
1. Place a drain pan below the vehicle in order to catch any power steering fluid.
2. Loosen the hose clamp (3) on the power steering fluid reservoir outlet hose.
Notice: Refer to Power Steering Hose Disconnected Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Remove the outlet hose (4) from the reservoir.
4. Loosen the hose clamp (5) on the reservoir inlet hose.
5. Remove the inlet hose (6) from the reservoir.
6. Use a flat blade tool in order to release the tab on the bracket (10) that retains the power steering fluid reservoir. Lift the reservoir (1) up and away from the tab.
Installation Procedure
1. Slide the power steering fluid reservoir (1) onto the bracket (10). Verify the tab on the bracket retains the reservoir.
Notice: Refer to Installing Hoses without Twists or Bends Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the reservoir inlet hose (6) to the reservoir. Install the hose clamp (5).
3. Install the reservoir outlet hose (4) to the reservoir. Install the hose clamp (3).

4. Fill the reservoir. Refer to Checking and Adding Power Steering Fluid.

5. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Bleeding the Power Steering System. Power Steering Bleeding
6. Remove the drain pan.
