Seat Belt Height Adjuster: Service and Repair

SEAT BELT HEIGHT ADJUSTER REPLACEMENT - FRONT

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the front seat belt lower anchor bolt trim cover (3).
2. Remove the front seat belt lower anchor bolt (2) and seat belt spacer (4).
3. Remove the rear seat cushion.
4. Remove the door sill trim plate.
5. Remove the quarter panel trim panel.
6. Remove the center pillar upper trim panel.





7. Remove the front seat belt upper guide bolt (3).





8. Remove the seat belt height adjuster bolts (2) and the seat belt height adjuster (1).

Installation Procedure

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





1. Install the seat belt height adjuster (1) to the vehicle. Secure the seat belt height adjuster with the bolts (2).

Tighten
Tighten the seat belt height adjuster bolts to 25 N.m (18 Ib ft).





2. Install the front seat belt upper guide (2) to the vehicle. Secure the guide with the bolt (3).

Tighten
Tighten the front seat belt upper guide bolt to 42.5 N.m (31 Ib ft).

3. Install the center pillar upper trim panel.
4. Install the quarter panel trim panel.
5. Install the door sill trim plate.
6. Install the rear seat cushion.





7. Install the front seat belt lower anchor bolt (2) and seat belt spacer (4).

Tighten
Tighten the front seat belt lower anchor bolt to 42.5 N.m (31 Ib ft).

8. Install the front seat belt lower anchor bolt trim cover (3).
