Steering Wheel: Service and Repair
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove steering wheel horn cap, then disconnect horn electrical leads.
3. Remove steering wheel retaining nut and retainer, then place alignment marks on steering wheel and steering shaft.
4. Remove steering wheel using tool No. J-36541 or equivalent.
5. Unclip steering wheel contact ring, if required.
6. Reverse procedure to install. When installing steering wheel, align marks placed on steering wheel and steering shaft. Also the turn signal cancelling cam on the steering wheel should be to the left. Torque steering wheel attaching nut to 13 ft. lbs.
