Strut Mount: Service and Repair

1. Open rear compartment lid, then raise and support vehicle.
2. Install spring compressor No. J-33432 on leaf spring to support control arm.
3. Insert Torx wrench into upper end of mount, then remove nut and washer.
4. Hand-compress strut until stud clears mount. Remove air from ELC system to facilitate hand compression, if necessary.
5. Remove upper mount attaching bolts/nuts, then mount.
6. Reverse procedure to install, torquing bolts/nuts to specifications.
