Intercooler: Service and Repair

Intercooler Mounting:

REMOVAL
1. Remove air cleaner to turbocharger duct at turbocharger.
2. Remove air cleaner and duct assembly.
3. Remove intercooler to intake manifold duct assembly.
4. Remove turbocharger to intercooler duct.
5. Remove intercooler upper mounting attaching bolts.
6. Remove intercooler.
7. Inspect induction hoses for wear and fatigue.


INSTALLATION

1. Install intercooler.
2. Install intercooler upper mounting bolts and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
3. Connect turbocharger to intercooler duct.
4. Connect intercooler to intake manifold duct.
5. Install air cleaner and duct assembly.
6. Connect air cleaner to turbocharger duct to turbocharger.
