Fig. 13 Thermostat Replacement:

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Drain cooling system until coolant level is below level of thermostat.
3. Disconnect air cleaner duct at turbocharger.
4. disconnect radiator hose at thermostat housing, Fig. 13.
5. Remove nut and hose support bracket.
6. Remove thermostat housing bolt and clamp, Fig. 13.
7. Remove thermostat housing and O-ring, then remove thermostat.
8. Reverse procedure to install. Install new O-ring on thermostat housing prior to installation.
