Fuel is supplied by an electric fuel pump located in the fuel tank, Fig. 1. The fuel passes through an in-line filter before reaching the TBI. Fuel pump operation is controlled by a fuel pump relay. The pump and relay is designed to provide pressurized fuel at 125 kPa. A pressure regulator in the TBI supplies fuel to the injector at a constant rate of 62 to 90 kPa. Fuel that is not used is returned to the fuel tank.
