Crankshaft Gear/Sprocket: Service and Repair

1. Remove timing belt cover as previously described.
2. Remove air cleaner assembly, then disconnect breather hoses from valve cover.
3. Remove valve cover attaching bolts and the cover.
4. Remove timing belt.
5. Hold camshaft with a suitable wrench, then remove bolt, washer and camshaft gear, Fig. 7.
6. Remove retaining bolt and washer, then the crankshaft pulley and gear.
7. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Align mark on camshaft gear with mark on rear timing belt cover.
b. Torque camshaft gear attaching bolt to 34 ft.lbs and crankshaft gear retaining bolt to 40 ft.lbs
