Fig. 8 Oil pan sealant application:

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Raise and support vehicle.
3. Drain engine oil, then disconnect exhaust pipe from exhaust manifold.
4. Remove oil pan attaching bolts and the oil pan.
5. Reverse procedure to install. Apply suitable sealant to bolt threads and oil pan seams, Fig. 8.
