Piston: Service and Repair

1. Remove oil pan, oil pump and cylinder head as described elsewhere in this section.
2. Rotate crankshaft to bring piston to bottom of stroke.
3. Remove connecting rods, caps and bearings. Mark components for assembly reference.
4. Remove connecting rod and piston assembly.
5. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Lubricate all components prior to installation.
b. Install piston with arrow on piston head toward front of engine.
