ASSEMBLY
1. Lubricate, then install new piston seal into caliper bore. Ensure seal is not twisted.
2. Install lubricated piston into caliper bore, ensuring piston does not jam and piston seal is properly seated. Leave piston exposed enough to permit installation of boot in groove.
3. Position boot in piston groove and press onto caliper housing. Seat boot using tool No. J36538 or equivalent.
4. Install caliper retaining frame, torquing attaching bolts to 70 ft.lbs
5. Apply suitable grease to sliding sleeves, then install seals in center groove of sliding sleeves. Ensure seals are not twisted.
6. Position sliding sleeves in caliper with inner protective cap groove facing piston. Leave sleeves exposed enough to permit installation of protective caps.
7. Install new protective caps into sliding sleeve grooves and press onto caliper housing collar. Seat caps using tool No. J36647 or equivalent.
8. Push sliding sleeves into housing, then install bleeder valve.
