Service Procedure, Labels & Claim Information

SERVICE PROCEDURE

NOTE: Extreme care is required when performing this service to prevent any damage to surface finishes of the upper guide loop, belt webbing and door surface.

Install new guide loop nut and spacer on both right and left guide loop according to instructions below:

1. With door glass in full down position, and upper guide loop attachment cover removed, secure guide loop to prevent rotation and remove guide loop attaching nut.

Some early built vehicles may have a shim/spacer in addition to the steel washer (see illustration). All nut shims and washers are to be removed.

2. Using new nut (P/N 10115018) and rubber spacer (P/N 10115100) reinstall guide loop (see illustration). Rubber spacer must not be twisted or distorted while torquing nut to 24-32 N-m. (18 - 24 ft.lbs.).

3. Install Campaign Identification Label.

CAMPAIGN IDENTIFICATION LABEL

Each vehicle modified in accordance with the instructions outlined in this Product Campaign Bulletin will require a "Campaign Identification Label." Each label provides a space to include the campaign number, the five digit
CAMPAIGN IDENTIFICATION LABEL (CONT'D) dealer code of the dealer performing the campaign service, and the date the vehicle was campaigned. This information may be inserted with a typewriter or ballpoint pen. Install the label only on a clean, dry surface of the radiator baffle where it is readily visible. (Additional campaign labels are available on stationery order as Form 7901-709).
