If a customer comment is received concerning the amount of washer fluid delivered to the windshield when the washer button is activated, an enhancement can be made to the washer system to increase the amount of fluid delivered by reindexing the wiring at the washer pump connector..
The diagram shows this revised indexing for the washer pump wiring harness connector. This indexing is different from what is in the service manual on pages 8A-90-0 and 8A-91-0.
The correct procedure to use for removing the Metri-pack 150 series terminals is shown on page 8A-5-15 in the 1988 Service Manual.
This revised indexing can only be done to vehicles built prior to VIN JF229965.
