FRONT
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove engine compartment lid. Do not remove torsion rod retaining bolts.
3. Disconnect brake vacuum hose.
4. Remove manifold heat shield.
5. Remove front crossover bolts, Fig. 4.
6. Raise and support vehicle.
7. Remove front converter heat shield.
8. Remove lower manifold bolts.
9. Lower vehicle.
10. Remove upper manifold bolts and the manifold.
11. Reverse procedure to install. Torque manifold bolts to 18 ft. lbs. Torque crossover bolts to 22 ft. lbs.

REAR
1. Remove manifold to crossover bolts, Fig. 4.
2. Remove manifold bolts and the manifold.
3. Reverse procedure to install. Torque manifold bolts to 18 ft. lbs. Torque crossover bolts to 22 ft. lbs.
